Las Vegas
July 10-12 2004

The pool area blew us away.
Renting a cabana and sunning in Vegas will definitely have to become a tradition.

Dave & Denise reserved a great spot. We spent the day in cabana number 8 as demonstrated by Andrea and Nikki (lt) and the pool map (rt).

(lt) After our spa treatments in the morning, Denise and I layed out in front of our cabana, right below the water misters. (rt) Seeking shade within the cabana.

The boys floating through the MGM river pool.

(lt) Dinner at Craftsteak. Jas and I first came here with his family in November, and we knew we had to return since it was the best steakhouse we'd ever been to. This time, we added the King Crab (de-shelled and cooked in a butter sage sauce) to the Kobe steak we shared. Unbelievable.
(rt) Denise after one too many Bloody Marys ;)

At MGM's newer bar Teatro. It looks like a flying saucer from the outside, but on the inside it's all about dimmed lights and red leather. Very swank. Most interesting item on the menu was a $25,000 bottle of alcohol called "Harvey's Paradise".

(rt) The greatest jello shots ever. Made of Bailey's Irish Cream, Grand Marnier and Kaluha. Mmmm....

After the bar, some of us were pretty wasted. Damon and Matt bought these 64 ounce margaritas from Coyote Ugly and we then decided to explore the MGM at 2:00 a.m. on a Sunday night to see what there was to do. (lt) Jason behind the sports booking bar serving Matt a drink.

(lt) Us pointing at nothing. (rt) Matt displaying his leverage (crisp one dollar bills baby!!) outside of the high-rollers area.

I asked Jas and Matt to jump through these hoops for me, Matt followed directions, Jas thought I said "hump the hoops." Matt and Jas behind the bar at Wolfgang Puck's.

That about sums it up.
